North Andover is Not Only the Epicenter of American Poetry

In my mind's eye at the moment ~ with the firm yet loving words of Mistress Bradstreet, women of 17th Century New England began to find a voice, a strength, a new view in this New World . . .

From the Merrimack Valley, this Valley of the Poets, women began to rise up and are still to this day meeting every challenge, every opportunity, every request placed before them.

Come, visit this place, this special place where American Gender Studies really began!

Welcome to the Valley of the Poets

If you have never been to the Merrimack Valley of New England, you are in for a treat!

Go to "Valley of the Poets" at either Google or Bing.com to see what you have been missing.

We welcome you to the heart and the start of poetry in America. Both the first published poet, Anne Dudley Bradstreet and the favourite poet, Robert Lee Frost were inspired to write magnificent works while residing here in the Merrimack Valley of Massachusetts.

Come see for yourself! For more on Mistress Bradstreet, visit LiteraryTraveler.com. http://www.literarytraveler.com/literary_articles/anne_bradstreet.aspx

Tell us YOUR favourite poet and the poems you like best . . . do you write?
